Division Descriptions-Spring 2026

Tee Ball:
Tee-ball division is for boys and girls ages 4–5 no experience is needed. Tee Ball is the Introduction to baseball with an emphasis on beginner skills development mixed with fun. There are no scores or standings kept for this division. There are no tryouts for this division; teams will be assigned by the league’s Player Agent.
· Personal requests to play with friends, coaches, etc. are likely to be honored at this level whenever possible. Registrants should place the requests during the registration process.
· Once teams are created players will not be transferred to a new team.
· Requests to practice/play on specific days will NOT be honored.
Rookie League:
The Rookie League division is for boys and girls aged 5-6 WITH or WITHOUT a season of Tee Ball that are not quite ready for Machine Pitch Baseball or Coach Pitch Softball. Rookie League will introduce coach pitching with an emphasis on basic skills development. There are no scores or standings kept for this division. There are no tryouts for this division; teams will be assigned by the league’s Player Agent.
· Personal requests to play with friends, coaches, etc. are likely to be honored at this level whenever possible. Registrants should place the requests during the registration process.

Beginner Machine Pitch Baseball:
The Beginner Machine Pitch Baseball division is for boys league age 6-7, players will be eligible WITH or WITHOUT a season of Tee Ball or Rookie experience. Beginner Machine Pitch introduces an automated machine to pitch to batters and will place an emphasis position player development and continued development of the basic skills. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players are placed on teams via a draft process. Players with a season of Beginner Machine Pitch should register for the Advanced Machine Pitch level. All players will be placed on a team regardless of the results of the player evaluation.

Advanced Machine Pitch Baseball:
The Advanced Machine Pitch Baseball division is for boys league age 7-8, players will be eligible WITH or WITHOUT a season of Machine Pitch experience. League Age 6 players are eligible with the approval of the Bulverde Little League player Agent. Advanced Machine Pitch introduces an automated machine (pitching at a higher speed) to pitch to batters and will place an emphasis position player development and continued development of the basic skills. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players are placed on teams via a draft process. Players with a season of Beginner Machine Pitch should register for the Advanced Machine Pitch level. All players will be placed on a team regardless of the results of the player evaluation.

Beginner Coach Pitch Softball:
Coach Pitch Softball division is for girls league age 6-7, players league age 5 will be eligible WITH a season of Tee Ball or Rookie League experience with the approval of the Player Agent. Coach Pitch introduces a live pitch (from a coach) to batters and will place an emphasis position player development and continued development of the basic skills. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players are placed on teams via a draft process. All players will be placed on a team regardless of the results of the player evaluation.

· Requests to practice/play on specific days will NOT be honored.

Advanced Coach/Kid Pitch Softball:
Coach Pitch Softball division is for girls league age 7-8. The Advanced Coach Pitch Division will blend kid pitch aspects with coach pitch while maintaining a continued emphasis on the development of the basic skills. Batters will face 4 pitches from a player pitcher, if the batter does not reach base via putting the ball in play a coach will be brought in to deliver no more than 2 pitches. There will be no walks or steals in this division. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players are placed on teams via a draft process. All players will be placed on a team regardless of the results of the player evaluation.

Majors Baseball:
The Little League Baseball Division (sometimes known as the Major Division) is for boys league aged 10–12, players 11 and under, that tryout and are not selected for this division will be eligible to be drafted in the Minors Division. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players must be placed on teams via the draft process. This Division plays by regulation Little League rules and would be considered the most competitive division for the eligible age group. Returning Majors players will be placed on the same team as the previous season unless a written request is approved by the board of directors.

· Requests to practice/play on specific days will NOT be honored.

AA/AAA Minors Baseball:
The Minor League Baseball division is for boys league aged 8–11, players league age 8 who are not drafted into the Minors Division will be eligible to be drafted into the Machine Pitch Division if they meet the age requirements of the Machine Pitch division. The Minors Division is the introduction to player pitching with a continued emphasis on player development. The Minors Division is typically sub-divided into two levels. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players are placed on teams via the draft process.

Majors Softball:
The Little League Softball Division (sometimes known as the Major Division) is for girls league aged 10–12, players 11 and under, that tryout and are not selected for this division will be eligible to be drafted in the Minors Division. The Minor League Softball division is for girls league aged 9–11. The Minors Division is the continuation of the introduction to player pitching with a continued emphasis on player development. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations* are required for this division and players are placed on teams via the draft process.

Juniors Baseball:
The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys ages 13–15, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches. Scores and standings are kept. Player Evaluations*could be required for this division and players could be placed on teams via the draft process depending on the enrollment numbers for a particular season.

· This division typically starts later than the younger divisions and involves travel to other league parks.
