Frequently Asked Questions
What are the rules on pitch count?
The 2008 Little League rules state that a manager must remove a pitcher when said pitcher reaches the limit for his/her age group as noted below, but the pitcher may remain in the game at another position:
| League Age | Pitches Per Day |
| 17-18 | 105 |
| 13-16 | 95 |
| 11-12 | 85 |
| 9-10 | 75 |
| 7-8 | 50 |
Exception: If a pitcher reaches the limit imposed by regulation for his/her league age while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch until any one of the following conditions occurs: 1. That batter reaches base; 2. That batter is put out; 3. The third out is made to complete the half-inning.
Additionally, a pitcher who delivers one or more pitches in a game cannot play the position of catcher for the remainder of that day.

A player may NOT pitch in consecutive games.

Why must my 12-year-old play in the Majors Division?
Starting with the 2008 season, Little League requires all 12-year-old players to play in the Majors Division. Because of this rule change, Bulverde Little League will be re-drafting all Majors teams for this season.
What is a hold-back letter?
By rule, all players that tryout are eligible to be drafted into the Majors Division. Normally, Majors teams are filled mostly with 11 and 12-year-olds; however, some times a few 10-year-old players have the necessary skills and get drafted on to a Majors team. If you wish to for your 10 or 11-year-old child to play in the Minors Division, you may sign a hold-back letter at the time of registration requesting that he be ineligible for the Majors Division draft.
